FUE vs DHI: the difference in plain language

Two common techniques, explained without the marketing. What actually differs between FUE and DHI, and who decides which one fits you.
What the video says
FUE versus DHI, in fifteen seconds. FUE: grafts are taken one by one, then placed into tiny openings. DHI: a pen-like implanter makes the opening and places the graft in one step. Which is better? There's no single answer. A surgeon recommends one for your hair.
FUE and DHI are the two techniques you will see most often in hair transplant packages. Both move follicular units from the donor area to the area being treated. The difference is in how the grafts are placed.
FUE
In FUE (follicular unit extraction), grafts are taken one by one from the donor area. Tiny openings are then made in the area being treated, and the grafts are placed into them.
DHI
In DHI (direct hair implantation), grafts are also taken one by one. A pen-like implanter then makes the opening and places the graft in one step.
Which is better?
There is no single answer. Each technique suits some hair types, areas and goals better than others, and clinics have their own experience with each. A surgeon recommends a technique for your hair after an examination.
When you compare packages, check the technique listed, and ask why it was recommended for you. On GraftAi every package shows its technique and graft range up front.
